Member for Mulgrave Curtis Pitt recently handed the keys of the new Mercedes Sprinter 319 to paramedics at the Yarrabah Ambulance Station.

Mr Pitt said the ambulance comes fully equipped with state of the art technology and equipment our paramedics need to deal with medical emergencies in the community.

“These vehicles provide a mobile platform to provide emergency pre-hospital care to sick and injured people,” Mr Pitt said.

“The ambulance will provide a fast, efficient, modern service to people living in Yarrabah, Back Beach and surrounding areas.

“Patients who need an ambulance in an emergency can be assured they have the latest life-saving equipment on board and if transport to Cairns Hospital is required it’s usually a very smooth ride in the back of a new Mercedes ambulance.”

Mr Pitt commended the staff at the Yarrabah Ambulance station.

“The dedication and professionalism of staff is a vital element in the equation,” Mr Pitt said

“I would like to acknowledge the dedication and professionalism of all the staff at Yarrabah Ambulance Station who contribute to the smooth operation of this facility.”
